No offers were made for a suite or whatever rooms hotels keep unless someone really important wants to stay. Really? That was the solution? No offers were made to have a cocktail in the bar while things got sorted out. About ten minutes later the receptionist re-emerged to tell us that there was a person with a king room that already check-in to the room that preferred having two queens. We refused only to be told, "I'm sorry, there are no rooms available." We continued to protest and the receptionist went to the back. What we couldn't believe is that the hotel tried to make this a "deal" for us. It was September, so having a view of the slope was of no interest. Upon check-in the receptionist told us that we'd been upgraded to a room with two queen beds and a view of the slope rather than the king bed room we had booked.
